What: O.C.T.O. Winter Meet 2012 When: Saturday, February 25, 2012 Where: Long Beach, California Time: 6:00am-2:00pm Orange County Transporter Organization presents "O.C.T.O. Winter Meet 2012". This is a swap and display meet, for 1967 and earlier buses only, held at Long Beach Veteran's Memorial Stadium, Long Beach, CA. Til 1967 VW type IIs get preferred swap and display spaces which will be on a "First come - First served basis". There will be raffle prizes at the main booth. Refreshment services will be provided by LBVMS Concessions. So drive your transporter...not the Dodge!!! Long Beach Veteran's Memorial Stadium 5000 E. | Sunday April 1, 2011 Nojoqui Falls Park, Santa Barbara County, California Vintage Volkswagen Club of America, Central Coast Chapter, CA This is our big Central Coast Event, don't miss out! Rain Cancels Sunday, April 1, 2012 11am to 3pm This is a grass roots effort and we need your help to make it a success. Read On... General Info: Meet us in the Middle for a gathering of VW enthusiasts from Southern and Central California. The location is beautiful Nojoqui Falls Park in Santa Barbara County. It is near the Danish style city of Solvang. Take the short hike up the trail to the falls that are usually flowing nicely this time of year. There is no charge to get in. Raffle: We are still working on the details for this. As usual we will also have our big roll around tool chest and other cool stuff. Help us out and bring something to raffle. It doesn't matter how small it is, we will package together items to make a good prize. Any non VW prizes would be great also. Just bring to the BBQ whatever you have to donate. Bring your own award, serious, funny, or just outside the box to give to whoever you think is deserving. You can announce it yourself or we will do it according you your instructions! If you bring an award come by the BBQ and get a notice to put on the car so they show up to the awards/raffle. This is a fun alternative to the usual show awards. Be creative and have some fun! BBQ: We will have a huge group BBQ fired up so all you have to do is bring your favorite BBQ to throw on the grill. Burger, Chips and a Drink will also be available for $5. Stealth Swap: Official swapping is not allowed in the park (no tables or parts on the ground) However...You can bring stuff to sell or trade, but it must be low profile, in your car would be the way to go. hosting their 28th Annual Spring Meet at History San Jose at Kelley Park in San Jose on Sunday, April 22 from 8 am to 3 pm. All air-cooled VWs are welcome. All cars entering the park MUST register for the car show and MUST park in their respective class. We will again be providing pre-registration this year so visit our website at http://www.ggcvvwca.org. Please note there is NO alcohol, NO pets, and NO BBQs are allowed inside the park. These are park rules and must be obeyed. The Quality Inn, located in Morgan Hill, will be the host hotel and security will be provided. For reservations please call 888-434-1444 or call the hotel directly at 408-779-0447. A RESERVATION-ONLY dinner will be held Saturday night, April 21 at 7pm at Mama Mia's Italian Restaurant in Morgan Hill and will be limited to 60 people. VW swap space is $20 per space including driver and passenger. $250 cash Sebring West Stock Best of Show award. $250 cash Eyeball Engineering Custom Best of Show award. 22 stock and custom classes. Spectator entry is a can of food for the Poverello House to feed the homeless. Free parking for spectators. Camping on Saturday night is $30 without hook up or $35 with hook up. The Super 8 Motel across the street is also available (559) 661-1131. Please no alcohol, loud stereos, skateboards, bikes or dogs per the Madera Fairgrounds for the show or camping the night before. There is no preregistration for the show, swap or camping. Be sure to attend V-Dubs at Chubs Diner night on Saturday 6pm to 9pm, across the street. Music, awards and great food. Information: Sunday June 10th! 6:30 am gates open for the Vee Dub Parts Unlimited VW Classic 2012 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Located at 8808 Irvine Center Drive Irvine, Ca. 92618. • Come see the “Worlds Largest VW Car Show”-$20.00 admission for each adult, kids 12 and under are $5.00 each. Participant judged car show offers 30 different classes for all types of VW’s. No pre-registration is necessary to enter, just show up and pick a class that best fits your car. Our show is judged by the participants, we have 1st-3rd places and a few special awards that are picked by our car show staff. The car show registration is FREE !! with each paid $20.00 adult admission. Car show award ceremony will be at 2:30 pm. • World Famous VW Classic Swap Meet-Swap meet spaces are $40.00 for each 20’x20’ space (includes 1 adult /1 vehicle pass).Swap meet spaces must contain “used” VW related parts only (no new parts). • New part Vendor midway will host the “who’s who ?” of the VW retail and manufacturer scene.
