Peninsula Automotive specializes in the repair and maintenance of Volkswagen and Audis since 1985.

We are a well established and growing repair facility, looking for Journeymen Technicians.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing diagnostics and completing repairs to specifications in a timely manner
  • Accurately recording diagnostic findings
  • Inspecting vehicles for additional needed repairs or maintenance and communicating recommendations to the service writer
  • Keeping service writer informed of all change in status of each job
  • Continuously learning new technical information and techniques by studying technical bulletins, industry magazine, and technical websites to keep abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Requirements include:

  • At least two year of experience as an automotive technician
  • ASE certifications strongly encouraged
  • Ability to demonstrate strong diagnostic skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid California drivers license and clean driving record

Peninsula Automotive specializes in the repair and maintenance of Volkswagen and Audis since 1985.

We are looking for Service Advisors, who take pride in providing top-notch customer service, and who want long- term employment with a company that appreciates you and your experience.

 

Service Advisor Purpose:

  • The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional needed service to customers

Service Writer Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible
  • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
  • Checks on progress of repairs throughout the day; Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate, explains cost and time requirements for any additional repairs
  • Test-drive the vehicle or refer to the test technician as necessary
  • Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor
  • Able to assist parts department as necessary

Service Writer Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a service department
  • General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
  • Professional personal appearance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
